There is no better designer for your inner self than you, and here&#8217;s where hypnosis for designing the perfect life comes in. Hypnosis is a process which not only makes you self-motivated, but also helps you address any issue that might be staring you in the face. You might be considering how to lose weight and become shapelier. You might be wondering how to kick the butt, and have a smoke free life. You might even be wondering how to make that presentation at office without stuttering and breaking into a cold sweat.</p>
<p>
But can hypnosis really help you in addressing these situations in life? Your memory tells you that hypnosis is for magicians it&#8217;s somehow connected to voodoo and black magic. Hey! Isn&#8217;t hypnosis what the evil doctor did to that poor heroine in that Hollywood flick? I often find myself smiling whenever people approach me with these apprehensions. So I decided that I should write an article dispelling all these myths about hypnotherapy, and demonstrate to you how incredibly hypnosis for designing the perfect life works.</p>
<p>
In my career of nearly a decade, I have had the opportunity to meet scores of clients at my practice in Oxfordshire in UK. We have together worked on solutions to their problems, ranging from divorces, business failure to drug addiction. People come to me for a variety of reasons &#8211; some people&#8217;s problems are more &#8216;on the surface&#8217;, for instance weight watchers, smokers, people with a drinking problem some on the other hand have more deep rooted issues, which could deal with their self image, traumatic experiences in their life, divorce, deaths, career decisions etc. Together I and my clients have discovered that through regular practice of hypnotherapy methods, we can make a HUGE difference to our lives. Hypnosis for designing the perfect life is no joke, it can happen to you all it takes is a little bit of patience and practice.</p>

Moving on to breaking the myths related to hypnosis &#8211; it is not practiced by magicians it is more a scientific and medical complementary therapy. The therapists who practice hypnotherapy are well educated and professional, no medieval apothecaries here! Another very popular notion about hypnotherapy is that is for weak-minded people, who allow other people to control them. Nothing could be more untrue. If you choose to undergo hypnosis, you will not be under any one else&#8217;s control. The reign will still very much be in your hands. A person undergoing hypnosis is aware of hisher surroundings, and can control how far heshe wants to go in the session. No one can control your mind, and make you kill their neighbor&#8217;s cat, so relax! It is just not possible.</p>

I have often told my clients that hypnosis is all about understanding what you want changed in your life, and concentrating towards changing it. Group hypnosis is not that different from individual hypnosis because the specialist will guide the addicts to the same stages of hypnosis. But people have to remember that not all drug addicts can try group hypnosis and be free of this addition. There are certain factors that make it work such as the willingness of the respondents to try out hypnosis without any reservations and their determination to stop becoming an addict.</p>
<p>
Perhaps the first step is summing up the courage to admit that you have the problem and then enter a rehabilitation center. From there, you can try the various techniques which are available and if nothing seems to work, ask about group hypnosis.</p>
<p>
If a specialist is on staff that can perform group hypnosis, cooperate with them so they know how they will be able to help you. Answer their questions truthfully so that the power of suggestion will be most useful when you are in a trance.</p>
<p>
Group hypnosis is effective and it can help not only drug addicts but also smokers, people who are stressed, people who suffer from anxiety disorders and more. You just have to be open to the idea that it can work.</p>
<p>
One session of group hypnosis won&#8217;t cut it to help you give p this addiction so you will have to attend several more. This is because most addicts or patients will only begin to experience the difference after a few days or weeks after they have started this kind of therapy.</p>

Why does hypnosis help with weight loss?</p>

It&#8217;s becoming more and more common nowadays to turn to hypnosis when we want to achieve a goal. We may want to quit smoking, rid ourselves of phobias or lose weight &#8211; in all these cases hypnosis offers a proven and successful solution. So why does hypnosis work?</p>
<p>
If you look at hypnosis for weight loss then the reasons behind the success of this method becomes clear. If you suffer from weight problems &#8211; whether you yo-yo diet or can&#8217;t seem to find the motivation to get on a diet that suits you &#8211; then you probably already know that your problem isn&#8217;t really your weight at the end of the day. The problem is more likely to rest with you.</p>

In the majority of cases people cannot lose weight effectively because of some psychological issue that prevents them from achieving their goal. Hypnosis is a scientifically accredited method of helping people overcome all kinds of difficulties. For example, in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology (Vol.64, No.3) in 1996 a study showed that the average weight loss without hypnosis was 6.03 pounds. With hypnosis average weight loss came in at 14.88 pounds. So, with hypnosis you can double your weight loss with no extra effort.</p>
<p>
And, because hypnosis modifies your behavior at source then you stand a far greater chance of keeping the weight off rather than putting it on again. A study that appeared in the Journal of Clinical Psychology (41) in 1985 tested a group of people who used hypnosis to lose weight and a group who did not. Whilst both groups lost weight during the study the hypnosis group continued to lose weight after the study had finished and achieved their weight loss goals. The group that did not have the behavior modification benefits of hypnosis did not achieve this.</p>

Self hypnosis, in one form or another has been practiced for a very long time.  While it is a serious therapeutic technique, self hypnosis is also a very soothing and calming experience and if practiced regularly, can help you transform yourself.</p>
<p>
Originally, self hypnosis was thought of as sleep, then as an altered state of consciousness. Only after using instruments to monitor brain activity did researchers learn that there was negligible difference between someone in a trance or hypnosis, and someone not. Peoples experiences with self hypnosis vary widely depending on their own expectations, but there are some commonalities. For instance, most people experience a reduced awareness of events going on around them including noises and conversations. Although people are not unconscious when under self hypnosis, many experience extreme relaxation and seem to have reduced awareness of their own body including their arms and legs.</p>
<p>
Nearly everyone can learn effective techniques for self hypnosis.  Whether your goal is weight loss or to stop smoking, self hypnosis can be a very useful treatment option for many different health and emotional problems.</p>
<p>
Let&#8217;s look at the reasons why self hypnosis can be such an appealing option:</p>
<p>
1.  It is not a drug, so therefore there are no side effects.</p>
<p>
2.  It is non-invasive which means there is no surgery and nothing gets inserted into the body.</p>
<p>
3.  Self hypnosis is also relatively inexpensive when compared to other forms of treatment, and can usually show results within one or two treatments.</p>
<p>
Self hypnosis is the original mindbody medicine. It helps you regulate your behavior, alter your thoughts, and use your mind to control your body. To be effective, you must get into a meditative state to change your thought process in order to change your behavior. However, this does not mean you have to be in a relaxed state so to speak. These states are the equivalent of either light or deep sleep, and allow for the hypnotized person to experience an altered state of consciousness.</p>

Hypnosis can be effective in managing stress, whether the state of hypnosis is assisted by a licensed Hypno-therapist, or whether the state is induced by the person entering into the hypnotized state.</p>
